A somewhat brief history of me

  • 2023

    • Scored a 1470 on the PSAT.
    • Selected as Programming Captain for my high school robotics team.
    • Started taking AP Computer Science A.
    • Passed the GFACT certification exam for foundational Cybersecurity.
    • Passed the AP Computer Science Principles exam with a 5 without taking the class.
    • Selected as a National Cyber Scholar and gifted scholarship to complete GIAC GFACT certification.
    • Started on my school's robotics team, Team 404 "Not Found".

  • 2022

    • Started studying electromagnetic levitation and propulsion for a year-long school project.
    • Scored a 1460 on the PSAT.
    • Started attending Appomattox Regional Governor's School for the Arts and Technology.
    • Finished rewriting the second version of BookWyrm.
    • Started to work with Golang and wrote three open-source libraries: Weasel, Vibe, and Fiber Inertia.
    • Selected as a winner in Apple's WWDC22 Swift Student Challenge.
    • Started rewriting my portfolio in Astro.
    • Accepted into Appomattox Regional Governor's School for the Arts and Technology.

  • 2021

    • Started rewriting my first big software project, Bookwyrm (2.0), in Ruby on Rails.
    • Scored a 1270 on my SAT, with a 590 on math and a 680 on language arts.
    • Started working on a project with my uncle for travel recommendations and guides.
    • Wrote a dashboard in four weeks for my family to keep track of garden production, weather, eggs, and more using Electron, React, and TypeScript.
    • Finished writing my first big project, Bookwyrm.

  • 2020

    • Started experimenting with a Raspberry Pi.
    • Started homeschooling.
    • Started my first big project, Bookwyrm (1.0), for book reviews. I wrote it in React and JavaScript.
    • Started Zooming with my uncle every week to learn coding (mostly frontend development).
    • Did small prep course with Fullstack Academy for web development basics.
    • Did the Khan Academy courses on software development.
    • Started to get into coding with Scratch and Code.org.

  • 2019

    • Started working on a website using a drag and drop builder for National History Day.
    • Joined the school robotics club.
    • Started attending Manchester Middle School in the Center-based Gifted program.

  • 2018

    • Started attending Winterpock Elementary School in the Center-based Gifted program.
    • Won the ACSI math olympics in the computational field for fourth graders.

  • 2017

    • Joined the lego robotics club at my school.
    • Won the ACSI math olympics in the computational field for third graders.

  • 2015

    • Won second place in the ACSI spelling bee.

  • 2013

    • Started attending Richmond Christian School, where my dad was principal.
